ದ್ವಿಪದಿ, ಛಂದಸ್ಸು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓದಿ 😀

ಈ ಗಂಡಸರ ನಿಜವಾದ ವಯಸ್ಸು ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ.

ಮನೆಯೊಡತಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ.

ನಮ್ಮನೆಯಾಕೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೀರ್ವರಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಮನಸ್ಯ. 

ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ (ಸಧ್ಯ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿಲ್ಲ) ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ.

ನನ್ನ ಸರಿಯಾದ ವಯಸ್ಸನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ. 

ಅವಳ ವಯಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಅಂದಾಜು ಮಾಡಬಹುದೆಂಬ ಭಯದ ತಾಪ.

And...

ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ನಲಾವತ್ತಾದರೂ ಅವಳ ವಯಸ್ಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಐವತ್ತರ ಆಸುಪಾಸು.

ನಾನಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಈ ಇಳಿ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಪಾಸು😀

Ignoring the meter and the couplet rule, read on! 

The true age of these men 

is quite the shock, 

For the lady of the house, 

a ticking clock.

Regarding this fact, 

discord lingers in our pair, 

A joke for others 

who thankfully are still unaware.

If I speak my true age, 

her anger will ignite, 

Feared by the heat 

that her age I might set right.

And...

Though my daughter nears forty, 

she claims only fifty's bend, 

In this elderly declaration, 

I failed the test, my friend. 😀
