MOVIES AND TV BRINGING DISASTER TO YOUTH

Image
thoughts Deadly March of Cinema and TV is pushing our youth to the brink of disaster I wish to take all of you back to the time of World War 2. The Allied Forces gave great importance to intensive technology in order to defeat the Nazis. A lot of money was spent on innovating telecommunications networks. This led to the invention of computers in the late 1950s. Slowly, computer machines were being used in information technology, which brought the world together into one unit, especially after the invention of Television in the 1920s (not 1970s). There was a revolution in telecommunication technology during the 1980s, and Indian engineers in America played a key role. Today, we are living in the era of telecommunications, and India is one of the main players in software development. Coming to the movie aspect, right from the days of the Mauryan Empire in 100 BC, Indian kings gave encouragement to art and culture. Indian cinema witnessed its first-ever movie in the year 1913...

ENGLISH AS A MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION

Image
thoughts Assignment written for Chaitra Rao For her  participation in  Speech competition ENGLISH AS A MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION  Today, I wish to speak on the subject: "The Importance of English as a Medium of Communication." Communication has assumed enormous significance in the present era of globalization. With the world being vast and the population constantly growing, the need for effective communication is crucial. People living in various countries have been drawn closer, mainly due to the rapid growth of communication channels. People in different nations naturally have their own languages for internal communication—for example, French in France or German in Germany. India, itself, has various languages across its states, with each state often having two or three of its own. It would be a Herculean task for a person in one state or country to maintain contact with others globally if there were no common language. We must thank the British for giving t...

COMPUTERISATION IN INDIA INCREASES EMPLOYMENT

Image
picture as of 2015 August 2003 - thoughts Massive computerisation in India is increasing unemployment Today I am standing here to argue that massive computerisation doesn't increase unemployment. It is true that in the initial stages computerisation may create unemployment but in the long run it will definitely create avenues for employment to the younger generation. Massive computerisation the long run will lead to to the following: New manufacturing units will emerge and thus new opportunities will be created. New service units will become inevitable and this will again increase the opportunities for new job seekers. For marketing, sales and services of products new employment opportunities will be there. The standard of living of the people will improve and there will be good demand for consumer products and this in turn will help for emergence of new manufacturing companies and new job opportunities. After some years due to innovation, new products will come into ...

HOME THEY BROUGHT HER WARRIOR DEAD

Image
poem is reproduced in this picture assistance My post script: This is indeed a beautiful poem, and I am glad my daughter, Chaitra asked me to provide a detailed explanation, as it gave me the opportunity to delve deeper into its meaning. Life inevitably has its ups and downs. The challenge lies in how we confront and overcome the sad moments and incidents, and continue to move forward. By doing so, we can emerge stronger and more resilient. Ultimately, this poem serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of perseverance and hope in the face of adversity. Anyway, on a lighter note: Chaitra says in her email that this poem is a very easy one. Get it? 😄 It's simply simple—when she says it's very easy, why should she asking me? *** Explaining the poem - Contents of Poem is shown in above picture Home They Brought Her Warrior Dead The great poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, who was born in England in 1802, was eccentric in nature. However, his poems deal with human psychology, f...
