thoughts In my opinion, Gandhi and Nehru's policies inadvertently favoured the British and showed leniency towards Muslims, which had adverse effects on Bharat. Both had much soft corner towards Muslims and made Bharat poorer day by day. Gandhi's decisions often overlooked Hindu sentiments, such as the payment of a significant amount to Pakistan on division and silence on Muslim-led violence against Hindus. On personal counts, he never looked after his wife or children. He was an authoritarian. Nehru's decisions had a lasting impacts. Remember he didn't want Armed forces, said police force was enough, not encouraging Army in war with China, not allowing Air-force to participate in the said war, giving away UN veto power offered to us to China, losing 40+ percent of Kashmir land to Pakistan by approaching UN taking unilateral decisions, targeting (against) Ambedkar's policies/views etc. These observations come from a place of concern and frustration.
